How to become a firefighter in Prince Albert

Prince Albert hires pre-certified firefighters: candidates are expected to hold NFPA 1001 Level II with IFSAC or ProBoard accreditation, a Saskatchewan College of Paramedics licensed Emergency Medical Responder certification or higher, a valid CPR certificate (Level C), and a valid Class 3A driver's licence with G endorsement or better, along with grade 12 or an equivalent secondary education certificate. Applications must include a completed medical clearance form and a confirmed eye examination form showing uncorrected 20/40 vision (corrective surgery is acceptable after a one-year waiting period).
