Department pricing

One annual number, built from your roster.

Department pricing

A department platform fee plus a per-member rate that steps down as the roster grows. Every member gets the full training library, Medical Readiness with the ECG Rhythm Lab, the credential registry, internal advancement preparation, and the analytics. Nothing is priced per module. A 25-member hall is the $1,500 platform fee plus 25 seats at $139 each: $4,975 a year, everything included. Prices in Canadian dollars, always.

The platform fee

$1,500/yr per department

  • Secure department workspace with role-based access
  • Department administrators and dashboards
  • Privacy controls and the member/department boundary
  • Audit logging, standard reporting, and data export
  • Standard onboarding and CSV roster import
  • Standard support

Plus, per member per year

  • First 25 members$139
  • Members 26 to 75$129
  • Members 76 to 200$119
  • Members 201 and upcustom deployment

The bands are graduated, like tax brackets: only the members inside a band pay that band's rate. Departments over 200 members are scoped directly, starting from the deepest rate.

The enterprise platform fee

$3,500/yr per department

$2,000/yr over the standard fee

Standard covers your department. Enterprise is for when your IT or procurement office joins the conversation: any one of the items on the left moves the quote to this fee, and at 201 members and up it is the default, because a department that size brings those requirements whether or not it names them upfront. The per-member rates are identical on both.

It applies when any one of these is on the table

  • Single sign-on (SAML/SSO) through your municipal identity provider
  • Multi-department or regional administration under one agreement
  • A formal security review: vendor risk assessments or procurement questionnaires
  • Custom terms: data-processing agreements or legal review of the standard terms

What it adds

  • Everything the standard platform fee covers
  • Single sign-on (SAML/SSO) with your identity provider
  • Security-review support: vendor risk assessments and procurement questionnaires, answered
  • Multi-department or regional administration under one agreement
  • Priority support
Department platform fee$1,500
25 members at $139$3,475

A member seat is $139 or less per year, below the $149 an individual pays for Semparo Pro alone. The platform fee buys the department its own side of the system: security, privacy controls, the registry, audit records, and reporting.

Your hall, per year

$4,975

The platform fee plus 25 member seats, everything included: the whole training library, the credential registry, dashboards, and support. Canadian dollars.

More than 200 members? That is a custom deployment, scoped directly and quoted from the enterprise platform fee: a department that size arrives with an IT department and a procurement office, so the quote assumes both.Talk to us

Example annual totals by department size
Department sizeAnnual totalPer member seat
10 members$2,890$139
25 members$4,975$139
50 members$8,200$134
75 members$11,425$132
100 members$14,400$129
200 members$26,300$124

Totals are the $1,500 platform fee plus the member seats; the seat column shows what a member actually costs, with the platform fee never divided in. A seat is $139 or less per year, below the $149 an individual pays for Semparo Pro alone, and the rate steps down as the roster grows. The platform fee buys the department its own side of the system: security, privacy controls, the registry, audit records, and reporting. All figures exclude tax; applicable GST or HST is calculated from your department’s province and shown on the invoice. The full department brochure walks every feature section by section and prints to a PDF you can put in front of a chief or a fire board.

Semparo Academy

Pre-service colleges and fire schools: embedded courseware per cohort, $2,995 per cohort per term.

Founding departments

Early halls get preferred terms.

Founding departments may qualify for preferred implementation pricing during Semparo Hall's initial deployment period, in exchange for structured implementation feedback. The list price stays on the contract; the founding concession shows separately, so the terms are honest on both sides.

  • Custom integrations beyond single sign-on
  • Onsite or extended implementation

The case for the budget

Nobody approves a line item because a website was persuasive.

So here is the argument in the form a council or a budget holder reads it, and the honest edges of it.

The records are already required

The training plan and the completion records are an existing duty, not a new one Hall invents. Guidance Note 7-3 in Ontario and the OHS Regulation in BC both expect a department to show which courses, who needs them, who has finished them, and when refreshers fall due. The only real question is whether the department keeps that in a system or in a binder.

The training officer's time is the hidden line item

Chasing expiry dates, re-typing a spreadsheet, and rebuilding drill night from scratch are hours a department is already paying for, they are just not on an invoice. Hall moves that work to expiry alerts, progress bars, and a report that names the topics the crew misses most. We are not going to hand you a percentage: no department has run a full year on Hall yet, so any number we printed would be fiction.

One line item, not a shopping list

Hall is quoted as one annual number: a department platform fee plus a per-member rate that steps down as the roster grows. Every member gets the whole training library, the credential registry, and the analytics; nothing important sits behind a later upgrade, and there is no per-module pricing to reconcile at renewal.

Forward this part

One page: what it is, what it costs, what it replaces.

The person who signs the cheque did not read the rest of this and does not need to. Send them this instead.

What it is

A training and credential system for a Canadian fire department. The training officer assigns the training and holds the records; each member gets a seat. One annual number: a department platform fee plus a per-member rate, never per module.

What it delivers

  • A credential registry: every certification, expiry date, and verification record for every member, with alerts before a card lapses.
  • Assignable training with due dates, per-member completion tracking, and audit-ready exports.
  • Knowledge-gap reporting: the topics the crew is weakest on and the exact questions they miss most.
  • Probationary tracking: milestones and evaluation notes that survive officer turnover.

What it replaces

  • The certification binder.
  • The training spreadsheet that one person maintains.
  • The training officer's memory as the system of record.

What it costs

  • Department platform fee$1,500/yr
  • Enterprise platform fee (SSO, multi-department administration, formal security review, or custom terms)$3,500/yr
  • First 25 members$139/member/yr
  • Members 26 to 75$129/member/yr
  • Members 76 to 200$119/member/yr
  • Members 201 and upcustom deployment

Bands are graduated: only the members inside a band pay that band's rate. The standard fee covers most departments; the enterprise fee applies when the department needs SSO, multi-department administration, a formal security review, or custom terms, and the per-member rates are the same on both. A 25-member hall is the $1,500 platform fee plus 25 seats at $139 each: $4,975 a year, everything included. A 100-member department is $14,400/yr.

What it does not claim

  • Semparo does not test or certify anyone. Only the authority having jurisdiction does that. Hall prepares members for those exams and proves the training happened.
  • Semparo is not affiliated with, or endorsed by, any fire department or certification body.
  • Semparo Hall is pre-first-department. There are no departments to name as references yet, and none will be invented.

The email opens in your own app with no recipient filled in, so you choose who sees it. Questions from the budget holder come back to hall@semparo.ca.

Every member seat also keeps working after the shift: the same platform carries candidates to hire, probies through evaluation, and members to promotion. One system, the whole career, the whole hall.
