Your package must include three documents submitted together: the completed 5-page application form, an uncertified Ontario driver's abstract, and an OPP Vulnerable Sector Check generated for Norfolk County. The published tasks are a ladder lift, a load carry, equipment hoisting, a victim drag, a confined space confidence task, and a height confidence task. These measure working strength and composure rather than gym numbers, so train with loaded carries, stair climbs, and grip work in the weeks beforehand.
The recruitment page notes that facial hair which interferes with a breathing apparatus seal is not permitted, so be ready to meet that standard. If heights or tight spaces are unfamiliar, get some controlled exposure before test day, because the confidence tasks reward calm, steady movement.

The format is a behaviour-style interview with the station officers and a member of Human Resources, and all candidates are asked the same questions. Prepare short, true examples of teamwork, reliability, handling conflict, and following direction, and practise saying them out loud.
Expect availability to come up, because this is a paid on-call role you respond to from home or work. Know your station's weekly training night, which the department publishes for every station, and be ready to explain how your work and home life let you respond within your station's district.
