Wood Buffalo runs a fully integrated fire and EMS service based in Fort McMurray and hires Firefighter Paramedics: applicants must be registered with the Alberta College of Paramedics as a Primary Care Paramedic or Advanced Care Paramedic and hold ProBoard or IFSAC certified NFPA 1001 Level I and II, along with a high school diploma or GED, valid Basic Cardiac Life Support (CPR) certification, and a valid Alberta Class 4 licence with Q endorsement (Class 3 with Q is preferred).
